Look into the eyes of a young child and see the sparkle of imagination and wonder when they visit Make Believe children’s role play centre in Hartlepool. Join our play sessions, groups and special events and watch your child’s develop key skills, interact with others and learn through pretend play.
Make Believe Children’s Indoor Role Play Centre in Hartlepool, for children aged 0-8, themed play areas & sensory play, children’s parties, groups & activities.
Role play is important for young children, as it not only builds confidence and character, but also helps adults understand children’s perspective and how they view and take in the world around them.
Each role play area is fully resourced to represents everyday life. For our Make Believers from birth to crawling we have a separate zone filled with toys, plushies and ball pool. A perfect zone for all hands on.
As well as our role play area and baby area, we also offer sessions such as messy play, baby play groups and sensory.
Make believe is a safe space for your child to play, learn and let their imagination flourish through role play.

Our fun supermarket will entice shoppers and shelf stackers alike! Never have the supermarket shelves been so well stocked! Visit our supermarket and choose your favorite items. Purchase them through our checkout.
Vets
“The vet will see you now” Dress up as a vet, administer injections, take blood pressure and check the temperature of your animal patients. You can diagnose and prescribe medication!
Construction
Put on your high-vis vest and get ready to build, knock down and create! Our fun building site lets your little one explore their creative side whilst nurturing their need to build. You can load the cement mixer, ride on the digger and see who can build the tallest skyscraper!
Make Believe's Farm
Make Believe had a farm, Ee i ee i oh! And on that farm we had… little animals and big animals, some you can ride and some you can feed. Hop on the tractor, grow your veg or have a picnic because Make Believe’s farm is always bright and sunny.
Cafe
Our Make Believe café is ready for service. Take a seat in our friendly café, order a slice of homemade cake and pour the tea. Your friends are waiting for you! Our fully equipped play kitchen will engage your little one. They can make the sandwiches, cook the breakfast and serve the customers. Whatever they wish to do, the Café is always open for business!
On The Road
Start your engines! Make believers can drive around our road filled with road signs, crossings and parking area, take a drive to our Fire Station and become a firefighter or drive to one of our other zones. This is their road to imagination!
Café and Seating Area
Situated right opposite the role play area, our lovely café is the perfect spot for catching up with friends and enjoying a cuppa and a bite to eat. We have available high chairs for our toddlers with a range of snacks and refreshments.
